The HM/DISO/UL Fault Isolator Module is utilized with Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs) to safeguard the system against wire-to-wire short circuits on the SLC loop.
Each device on the SLC loop should have the isolator module placed between them to isolate a short circuit problem between the modules.
It is essential for enabling true Style 7 operation, ensuring that other devices can maintain normal operation in the event of a short circuit on the SLC.
The module supports a maximum of 25 devices in-between isolators.
